Edison pearls are known for their large size and vibrant luster, offering a striking and modern look. Each pearl is carefully cultured to ensure exceptional quality and durability. Ideal for creating statement jewelry pieces.
WHAT IS AN EDISON PEARL?
Edison pearls are formed by implanting a mother-of-pearl bead into an oyster. Over several years, the oyster layers nacre (nay-ker) around the bead, creating the pearl. Because it starts with a large bead, it forms a massive pearl. And yes, this is still a real pearl!
Note: Edison pearls are not perfectly round; they can have dimples and oblong shapes. Real, perfectly round Edison pearls are rare and pricier.
